Kayaking destinations
The kayaking services of Pyhä and Näsijärvi were strongly developed in 2021. Both lakes now have their own kayaking routes with services. The Kiimajoki canoeing route, built at the beginning of the millennium, is located in the surroundings of Velaattajärvi and Terälahti in Tampere’s Teisko.

The kayaking services of Pyhä and Näsijärvi were strongly developed in 2021. Both lakes now have their own kayaking routes with services. Especially on the Näsijärvi side, several service facilities and campfire sites are located on the shores of the Kaup recreation forest and are also accessible via the beach. In Pyhäjärvi, services can be found, for example, in Viikinsaari, Lehtisaari and Saunasaari.
Kiimajoki canoeing route
The Kiimajoki route is Teisko’s secret gem. The Kiimajoki canoeing route, built at the beginning of the millennium, is located in the surroundings of Velaattajärvi and Terälahti in Tampere’s Teiskoka. The route, which is about 16 kilometers long, has been implemented in the river sections on an old floating bank of logs, which reminds of the wood industry history of the area that goes back to the 18th century.
